Lodge No. 289 located in Hopewell, Virginia. If you are a Mason and in the area, please feel free to come and

Our Mission
The MISSION of the Grand Lodge of
Virginia is to teach and perpetuate a way of life that promotes the Brotherhood of Man under the Fatherhood of
God and to assist its Lodges to grow and prosper.
The VISION of the Grand Lodge of Virginia is to be the premier organization composed of men of integrity and
character, who are honest, true to their word, believe in God, are devoted to family, charitable in their community,
and courteous and helpful to each other.

Brethren, August is Junior
Wardens night. Please come out and support Bro. Harry Oestreich as he sits in the East.
August 7 is our 91ST Anniversary / Ice Cream Social / Ladies night. Bring your
family, friends, & neighbors and enjoy this event.
In regard to the letter that was mailed with the July Trestle Board to members of the lodge.
I ordered the Trustees to prepare their 2007 report early and to address the issues of
the condition of Du Pont Masonic Temple and the financial condition of Du Pont Masonic Lodge
and to submit this report as soon as possible. I also instructed the Trustees to
prepare a long-range plan to maintain Du Pont Masonic Temple and to insure the financial
security of Du Pont Masonic Lodge. I will keep you informed.
You will find 6 tickets for our September Pancake Breakfast enclosed in this mailing.
Please attempt to sell these tickets. Remit all funds to Du Pont Craftsman’s Club,

We mailed out a newsletter to our Masonic Widows this month. We have invited them to
our Ice Cream Social on August 7 and we have given them a complementary ticket to
our Pancake Breakfast on September 15.
